Not to get soft, but, I can't believe this is actually my last artist statement for this class :(. I had an amazing time learning and trying new things within the adobe suite that I never thought of. Even though this last project was mostly completed on WIX, It was still so fun to take what I have learned from the animation project and feel confident making some easy GIFs...
For this final project, I wanted to make some sort of scavenger hunt through the website. Obviously, this could've been much deeper but it was still so much fun to do! I started out with one concept of a journey through the forest until something goes wrong. You then end up in an unknown place and you have to find your way out while escaping a creature. This turned into a nature walk that leads to an almost fatal fall only to wake up in a cave that belongs to a yeti! It was so fun to make one page to the next without a deep story line so I was having some of my own scavenger hunt! The hidden easter eggs came out of nowhere as well which I hoped added same weird and dark humor. Towards the end of the pathway out to safety, I randomly came up with the idea of adding Ralphie the Buffalo to save the day as kind of a WTF moment that everyone can relate to. I had a lot more ideas for this project but I was still very satisfied to display a fun concept and learn how to make GIFs as PNGs!
Once again, I had an amazing time in this class with an AWESOME professor and peers. I wouldn't have wanted to end my college career in any other way! Thank you for everything!!
